BODMAS is a rule that tells you the correct order to do math operations.
Brackets: Do anything inside parentheses first.
Orders: Solve powers or square roots next.
Division and Multiplication: Then do division and multiplication, from left to right.
Addition and Subtraction: Finally, do addition and subtraction, also from left to right.
So, it's basically a guide for solving math problems step by step.

Bodmas means bracket of division multiplication addition subtraction.
For example, 2+(4*6)/4-2
In that first calculate 4*6=24. Now it's 2+24/4-2.
Now do division 24/2=6. Now it's 2+6-2.
Now do addition 2+6=8. Now it's 8-2.
Now do subtraction 8-2=6.

BODMAS stands for Brackets, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction.
It is the acronym that we use to assign to the order of operations. i.e how we go about answering math questions.
For example,
Question 1) 5+3x12
Without BODMAS, we would just add 5 and 3 to get 8 and then multiply by 12 to get 96. This is wrong.
We must first multiply 12 and 3 to give 36 and then add 5 to give 41 (since multiplication comes before addition in BODMAS). This is the correct answer.
If you have any further questions please ask. I also am an A-level math student that gives tutoring so if you feel like you need someone that can guide you in math, feel free to ask me about this.

BODMAS stands for brackets, order, division, multiplication, addition, subtraction. It is the rule that reminds you which order to solve equations in. So for example, you would calculate the sum inside the brackets first, then the order which are any powers or square roots in the equation, then division etc. As a calculation example, when solving (5+6)^2 - 4 we would do 5+6 first as it is in the brackets (B first) to get 11, then we square 11 as order is next (O) to get 121 then finally subtract 4 to get 117.

Maths equation is to be followed according to BODMAS, which is a sign for brackets, orders or roots, division, multiplication, and subtraction, or addition, correspondingly. For instance, solving an expression such as 10 + (5 × 3 + 2) one is to solve the brackets first; then the powers or roots, division or multiplication and at last the subtraction or addition.
If ambiguous, then, from left to right. Example Suppose an equation contains more than one occurrence of the division and multiplication, or addition and subtraction, then a person has to proceed from left to right.

BODMAS stands for Brackets, Order of powers, Division, Mutiplication, Addition, Subtraction. It is a rule that is used to approach all maths questions. For example you have a question that says: 23+(7×2)-8+13
To solve this you would first look for any brackets, in this case we have (7×2) which equals to 14. Now we would write 23+14-8+13
The next step is to look for any powers or exponentials, which in this case we don't have but if we did we would solve that part next. Moving on, now we look for division operation, which we also don't have so we move on. Next is the multiplication operation which we had but it was in brackets so we already solved it.Time for addition, we add 23 to 13 which equals 36. We have 36+14-8.Next we subtract, we take away 8 from 14, which gives us 6. 36+6 is what we are left with it, which equals to 42. The final answer is 42.

BODMAS is an acronym used in maths to help us remember the order of operations in calculations.
1. B = brackets – numbers or variables in brackets must be done first
2. O = orders – are power or roots
3. D = division
4. M = multiplication
5. A = addition
6. S = subtraction
Example:
5 x (23 + 1/4) – 10
= 5 x (8 + 0.25) – 10
= 5 x (8.25) – 10
= 41.25 – 10
= 31.25
In this example we first work out what is inside the brackets leaving everything else as it is. Inside the bracket we have 2 to the power of 3 which must be added to 1 division by 4. Using BODMAS we first calculate 2 to the power of 3 which is equal to 8 (Order) and 1 division by 4 which is equal to 0.25 (Division) see line 2. Then in line 3 still inside the bracket we add 8 + 0.25 which is equal to 8.25 (Addition). In line 4 we now multiply 5 with the result of the bracket. Finally in we subtract. The important thing here is that the bracket is fully worked out before anything else is done.

BODMAS stands for Brackets, Orders, Division/Multiplication, Addition/Subtraction. It is a rule used in mathematics to determine the order in which operations should be performed in a calculation.
Let’s break it down cheerfully:
1. Brackets: Solve anything inside brackets first.
2. Orders: Then handle powers (like squares) or roots.
3. Division and Multiplication: Work from left to right.
4. Addition and Subtraction: Finally, work from left to right again.
Here’s an example:
Imagine you have this expression:
6 + 2 × (5² − 3)
Step 1: Brackets first
Now the expression looks like:
6 + 2 × 22
Step 2: Orders done, next is Division/Multiplication
Now:
6 + 44
Step 3: Addition/Subtraction
So, the answer is 50!
Isn’t it fun to follow the BODMAS path to avoid confusion?

Hello Miranda!!!
BODMAS is an acronym that helps us remember the correct order of operations to follow when simplifying mathematical expressions. We use BODMAS is to ensure that mathematical expressions are interpreted consistently and correctly. Without a set order, different people might interpret the same problem differently, leading to different answers.

Simply its Brackets Of Division Multiplication Addition and Subraction. If you have a math problem that includes Division, multiplication addition and subratraction~ you solve the problem in this sequence. Example : 5 - ( 2x 2), you start by Multiplying inside the brackets ( 2x2) = 4 and lastly the subtraction. So answer is 5 - 4 = 1

Brackets Of Division Multiplication Additional and Subtraction. If you get a question like (10-2) + 8÷4 - 2 you start with B (Brackets) cause it's at the start of Bodmas and you follow the next order which is Divion then you add since there is no Multiplication then you Subtract. Therfore ur working will be (10-2)=8 and then 8÷4 = 2 then 8+2=10, finally 10-2=8 therefore your answer is 8

Bodmas is the set of rules which defines the order of operation in which you commence a mathematical task. B means bracket. O means of or order of roots. D means division, M means multiplication, a addition and S subtraction. This means if you got all these operations in a line you read from left to right of the line and follow these rules in order.

BIDMAS is a word where every letter means another word! In BIDMAS it displays the order in which we work out the answer to a maths question. The letter ‘B’ means Brackets so we answer the calculation in the brackets first! The ‘I’ means Indices which means the number with a tiny letter at the top which is squared or cubed or to the power of. So you work out those calculations first. The ‘D’ means Division, so we calculate the divisions in the question next. The ‘M’ means Multiplication, so we work out the multiplications or the times calculations next. The ‘A’ means Addition, which we calculate next. Then the ‘S’ means Subtraction, which we calculate next.

The order of operations in maths is given by the acronym:
B – Brackets
O – Order of Powers, Indices or Roots
D – Division
M – Multiplication
A – Addition
S – Subtraction
When there is no consensus on the order of operations, divisional, and multiplication as well as addition and subtraction should be done sequentially with a left to right orientation. Otherwise, solve the problems which are placed in brackets first. Take the squares or square roots of numbers. The last arithmetic operation is subtraction. For example if a question asked you to do 10× (4+2 ), you first do what is in the bracket then 4+2=6 , and then 10×6 = 60.
Other example is , if a question ask you to do 5+ 2^2 = 5+4=9.

BODMAS is an acronym for Brackets–Orders (powers, indices, roots)–Division–Multiplication–Addition–Subtraction. It is a rule on which you have to solve a mathematical expression first in order to get a right answer. Failure to follow an order will get you a wrong answer.
For example, (3×2)^2 + (8÷4)(5-3) × 36 ÷ 6 -1
♦First, solve for what's in the brackets/parentheses: 6^2 + (2)(2) × 36÷6-1
♦Second, get the value of 6^2 = 36
Then, it will be 36+(2)(2)×36÷6-1 (note: (2)(2) is also the same as 2×2. In algebra, the sign × doesn't use much for multiplication to avoid confusion for using a variable x. Instead, use brackets/parentheses for multiplication)
♦Third, divide 36÷6 =6
Then, it will be 36+(2)(2)×6-1
♦ Fourth, multiply (2)(2)×6 = 24
Then, it will be 36+24-1
♦Fifth, get the sum of 36+24 = 60
Then, it will be 60-1
♦Finally, subtract 60-1. You will get the final answer
The final answer is 59

BODMAS is used to help work out a calculation that has more than one maths operations. It helps us remember the ORDER of operations.
B means brackets
O is powers or roots
D stands for division
M is for Multiplication
A addition
S subtraction
So if you had a calculation such as
5 + (6 - 2) x 3 the steps would be
5 + 4 x 3
5 + 12

BODMAS is an ordering of mathematical signs that help students to understand how equations that require multiple signs can be solved. Each letter stands for a certain mathematical sign . B for brackets, O for 'order of roots', D for division, M for multiplication, A for addition and S for subtraction. In any mathematical expression, the solving of equations should follow that order.

These 6 things give you a hint of what to do first on a maths question that could a have brackets and multiplication . This equation helps you to know what to do first, in this case you will do the brackets first and then you will then multiply your answer that you get from your brackets. And what every guy get will be your final answer
