I specify in teaching AQA A-LEVEL Biology Chemistry and Psychology and am particularly well versed in exam technique and revision methods

I have been a tutor for upward of two years and I also have teaching experience in schools. I have a BSc Biomedical sciences degree from the University of Keele. My lessons will consist of a healthy mixture of fun and work. No child wants to be bored and no child wants to do more studying than required so I will make the lessons as fun as possible and treat the student like a friend. My strength is exam technique and I have a lot of tips that can help to improve your exam technique. I can appreciate the students as being individual people. Hence, I like to give them some control over what we do in lessons and tailor resources for different types of students based on their learning styles. The first thing I always like to find out about the student is their preferred method of learning from which I can then make my lessons more personalised for each individual. I am good at explaining concepts and can simplify the knowledge to help the student understand better. I always make sure to immediately grasp the student's chosen method of learning and the current problem they are facing before using this knowledge to address their uncertainty and aid in the clarification of what they wish to learn in a flexible and composed manner.
