I am a full-time tutor, primarily specialising in Maths, but I also teach Science, English and French. I have been working in education (mainly with SEN students) since finishing my degree in Psychology in 2016. I now study Maths part time at the Open University. I am very passionate about tutoring as I believe having lessons tailored to the individual student will help them make the most progress. It’s very important to ensure the student is enjoying what they are learning and in the format that works for them the best. I always ensure to maintain close contact with the students themselves and their parent/carer to make sure these students are getting the most out of their learning experience.
I have worked with SEN students, specifically those with ASD and ADHD since leaving university.
I've worked through EYFS, all the way up to A-Level equivalent with students of all abilities.
Exams: 7+, SATS, 11+, 13+, GCSE (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) , A-Level (Maths). As well as supporting students through various exams, I also have a lot of experience in home-schooling students who cannot be in school for various reasons (behavioural, waiting for a specialist provision etc.). I have long standing clients that I have worked with on homework/general support to aid their progress across all subjects.
I teach online using video calling (google meets) and an interactive white board; as well as lots of different activity based websites. My online lessons are just as beneficial as face-to-face lessons and students that have struggled with online lessons elsewhere get great results from my classes!
