My reason for applying for a post of online tutor derives from personal and career objectives. Among these objectives is my wish to improve my career and experience in the fields of Education and Health & Social Care.

My work experience as a Reviewing Officer at Redbridge Learning Disability Team, Redbridge Social Services has help me to appreciate not only the skills and duty but also service users’ needs and how it may affect the carers and their wellbeing and giving advise and support empowers them to be confident to make an informed choice is equally important in health and social care.

Some of the challenges which I had encounter in my studies work and professional development are ethical issues which include confidentiality maintaining and improving professional competencies, acknowledging limitations and clients independence in issues like safeguarding adult/protection, domestic violence and conflict of policies will be a valuable asset and resource for this post of Health & Social Care Lecturer.

I have the abilities to organise my own time, to create a research topic, conduct research, document as the research progresses, find and read relevant literature, present seminar, discuss and communicate ideas. During my post-graduate and working experience I have been involved in several research works at different capacities looking at different government policies, one of which was primary care in a multi-agency public health in Liverpool.

I am competent in the use of information and communication technology with Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. Competent in using WWW and electronic mail, which is important in modern and improve public health and health care services (wanless, 2002). As a Reviewing Officer and Healthcare Worker, I have worked in partnership with other professionals including Social Worker, Doctors, Nurses and Teachers. And also mothers and their families by providing information and counselling services; facilitate health-enhancing activities aiming to encourage family to adapt healthy life style.

I have the ability to design, deliver, evaluate and review teaching programs as well as other forms of public presentation. I also have the ability to teach and training health care professionals. Participate in and plan induction programs for new staff; act as personal tutor to student as required.

I have had experience and skills in data collection and management i.e. conducting interviews, designing and conducting questionnaire, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data will be a valuable asset in training and practicing as a Consultant Healthcare and Trainer. As a Health Care Trainer for almost two decades, I have been involved in the management and running of educational programmes. I have the skill of delegating duty appropriately and to the smooth running of the project or training.


As a “Health Promotion Specialist” (DoH1999a), I have been an advocates being educator health promoter, consultant, group leader, health care planner, referrer collaborator, and researcher and case finder; can only be archived through education. Since gaining my degree in 2001, I have regularly up dated myself by attending short courses to improve and the quality of care and standard of practice and meeting my professional needs. This has improved my confidence and ability to innovate and provide evidence informed quality care and services to my client/service users. Furthermore, all the knowledge I have acquired as a , Reviewing & Assessment Officer and Care Manager would be very useful for this post of Health & Social Care Lecturer.
