You can practice your Chinese speaking skills in several ways, even if you don't have access to native speakers or language exchange partners in person. Here are some tips: -Use language learning apps: Many language learning apps offer speaking exercises and interactive dialogues to help you practice pronunciation and conversational skills. Some popular apps for learning Chinese include Duolingo, HelloChinese, and Memrise. -Join online language communities: There are many online communities and forums where you can connect with other Chinese learners and practice your speaking skills. Websites such as italki, Tandem, and HelloTalk offer language exchange programs where you can connect with native Chinese speakers who are learning your language, and practice speaking with them through voice or video chat. -Watch Chinese movies and TV shows: Watching Chinese movies and TV shows can help you improve your listening and speaking skills. Try watching without subtitles to challenge yourself, and then watch again with subtitles to reinforce what you have learned. -Attend language exchange events: Look for language exchange events in your community or attend online language exchange events to meet native Chinese speakers and practice your speaking skills in a casual setting. -Hire a tutor: If you have the resources, hiring a Chinese tutor can be a great way to improve your speaking skills. A tutor can provide personalized feedback and help you work on areas where you need improvement. Remember, practicing regularly and consistently is key to improving your Chinese speaking skills. Try to incorporate speaking practice into your daily routine, even if it's just for a few minutes each day.

As we know, practice makes perfect. The same is true with Chinese speaking. The more you practise, the better your Chinese speaking might be. Of course, the question is with whom and how. First of all, I think it’s best to practice your Chinese speaking with someone whose Chinese is good, and better still who knows the teaching methods for foreign language learning. And when you practise, you can focus on the newly learned language items repeatedly in a more mechanical way, so that your accuracy is established. At this stage, the person whom you practise with can locate your mistakes, and you learn what the correct ways of using the new language structure. Then, it’s best to have more communicative practice after that, where you can use various language patterns and structures to achieve more communicative purposes like in daily life. You can focus more on the fluency of Chinese speaking when you have communicative practice. I hope I answered your question.

Practice with professional Mandarin speakers who know the basic skill of how to pronounce it the proper way. There is a group of people in China who study broadcasting who know the basic theory of pronunciation and that would be very helpful. And just talk with any Chinese speaker. Practice makes perfect.

Hi Leia, The most useful and efficient way to practise speaking is to speak with Chinese native speakers in Chinese speaking countries because 'environment' can stir up your potential; alternatively, you can practise by 'shadowing' but starting from beginner level, meaning you copy what you heard from TV show or videos, and then say it out as appropriate as possible, including words, tune, and punctuation.

The best way to connect to speak Chinese is to find someone to speak it with, whether they are a native Chinese speaker or at the same intermediate level as you and talk about various topics together to make speaking Chinese a part of your life. You have to believe that language is first and foremost for communication, don't worry too much about grammar or making mistakes, correcting each other and learning from each other will help you a lot, keep doing this for a while and one day you will suddenly find that you are speaking Chinese in your dreams, haha!

Personally, I would try practicing by speaking to a tutor, friends or family who knows Chinese for a few hours. Talking and asking questions in the specific topic that you want to talk about. It normally helps a lot. Or maybe reading a book every night before bed could help?
