Advert description
This is a 4-lesson (6h) course through which we will research the powerful story of feminist art — from its groundbreaking emergence in the 20th century to its urgent and evolving presence today. Through iconic, provocative, and transformative artworks, this course explores how feminist artists have challenged conventions, reshaped cultural narratives, and redefined what art can be.
Across four dynamic sessions, we will explore:
Introducing Feminist Art – how a movement began and changed the art world forever.
The Personal Is Political – housewives, mothers, domestic labour, and the radical reimagining of everyday life.
Sex, Body, and Action – reclaiming the body, expanding identities, and pushing beyond singular narratives.
Feminist Art as Activism – from the nude in the museum to art as protest, resistance, and institutional critique.
Join us for an engaging journey through works that continue to provoke, inspire, and demand change.
