I am a native English speaker with previous experience of language teaching

I have a Bachelors degree in engineering and am looking to move into a more interactive and engaging career path. I have always loved teaching and my time teaching English to Colombians was extremely fulfilling and something I am keen to build on that experience by teaching to more people who need it.

My lessons will focus on a particular topic, discussed with the student beforehand to find out where they are struggling the most. The lesson will consist of a general conversation at the start, followed by building on the knowledge they have to fill in any gaps discovered during the conversation. As practice makes perfect, much of this is to be applied outside the class too so the student can gain real life experience with the topic.

For the second half of the session, the student is able to discuss a topic of their choice in order to give them more confidence in their ability. This conversation will be corrected where needed after the session and allows the student to potentially recognise their own errors as previously discovered earlier in the session.
