Advert description
With a teaching background spanning three years of private tuition, I've delved into the intricacies of the IB Chemistry and Biology. My experience extends to an understanding of the IA requirements and the nuances of the new IB syllabus for 2024 with recent specialised training. This experience has been through online platforms such as Lanterna and Ascientia.
As a medical student, these subjects aren't just theories on paper – they're woven into the fabric of my daily studies. I am currently in my fourth year of medical school, working to achieve my bachelors of medicine and surgery. This proficiency equips me with skills to reinforce scientific knowledge effectively.
Helping students at my school to achieve high results in the IB has earned me the Smith Award for academic success and for solidarity with my peers. My aim is to empower students, with a toolkit for tackling complex content while maintaining the depth and breadth of knowledge essential for success. Furthermore, growing up in an international environments and multilingual family has given me the ability to transpose information and present these in different perspectives, languages and templates.
I believe in an engaging and patient approach to teaching that unlocks students' full potential. My teaching approach centers on understanding each student's unique learning style and tailoring lessons to suit their individual needs. Given the intricacies of the IB curriculum, I aim to make learning an enjoyable and accessible experience. To tackle even the most challenging topics, I bring real-world relevance into lessons, making subjects come alive and resonate with students on a personal level. For this, i leverage previous IB questions, visual supports, mind maps, and practical explanations to IB topics.
This approach ensures that students not only grasp the material but also retain it over the long term.
