All lessons are a minimum of an hour and can be in one of two formats.

1. Content focused
This involves spending a large time learning and explaining a topic, followed by some example questions to ensure understanding

2. Revision Lessons
A brief recap of the topic to make sure the student has the correct understanding and no misconceptions, before working through multiple practice questions to check and improve exam technique

For any students wishing to take their exams early, I offer an intensive course and can guarantee being able to complete their GCSE maths comfortably within 2 years of starting with me. This will involve weekly lessons and accompanying homework. There is no minimum age requirement, however I will require one 30-minute free taster session to see if the student is capable of following the high pace of these lessons and whether they have the right attitude.

Lessons can be taught in person (at the student's home) or online. I charge a bit more for in person tutoring due to travel expenses and the extra time taken. However online tutoring does also come with the advantage of all lessons being recorded, allowing the student to watch them back in their own time. This allows them to solidify their understanding of a topic or remember crucial information that they may later forget.

I have been teaching privately since 2018, but recently also started teaching in a secondary school, which has given me a much greater appreciation for 1-to-1 sessions and how much quicker information can be conveyed.
