During group and company sessions we will have a brief discussion about the many benefits of yoga and how it can be used to help manage stress and improve your physical health. We will then go through some basic yoga exercises and different forms of yoga that can suit different individuals better. For example, somatic yoga may be more suited to older people or people that have had body trauma; as this type of yoga is slower and is mostly floor based.
During private sessions we will start with a 5-10 minute discussion on what your goals and focus points are for the session that day. This is also a great time to discuss any worries or issues that may be troubling you. As yoga is a mindfulness activity and realising some tension can be very beneficial before the session. We will then have a yoga session tailored to your needs and goals for around 40-45 minutes. These sessions focuses could include: balance, strength, core, back bending, or stretching. Near the end we will have a 10 minute guided meditation.
