Is difficult to explain. Mathematics is a basic tool that you need to apply in a field. Mathematics alone like Computer Science is not enough to apply it as a stand alone field. Mathematics can be used in a variety of fields Architecture, Construction, Statistics, Data, Finances, Banking, Product Design etc. Depends on what type of person you are. What you enjoy. Also if you like spatial mathematics then i recommend architecture/design. If you like numbers and calculations go for banking and finances, statistics etc.

There are almost no limits to where you want to work with a degree in Mathematics. I liked the "application" side of it and so I studied Physics (and I wouldn't go back to change it). I work in IT but Mathematics and Physics give me tools that almost none of my other colleagues can master or can see how to use them in many different contexts. For me it's about having fun with all of this. So, be it working for a university, or in Business, Finance, Sociology, Economics, Simulation, Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Science,................... there are lots and lots of possible positions for a maths expert. But don't think the study part ends with finishing your degree: there is more to come.

This is a very good question but this is my opinion. Mathematics has always been found all over the corners of this globe.
Career opportunities all over the world demands a bit knowledge on ones understanding of mathematics. Pyramids were built in Egypt became of their sophisticated knowledge on complex mathematics. In a nutshell, you wouldn't be able to find a statutory job the demand plus and minuses but technically it's an everyday thing that happens to humanity.

Being good in math not only means you are good with numbers! It can also mean that you have a good attention to detail, problem solving and organisation skills.
If you are only interested in the number aspect of maths then jobs in finance, teaching or other scientific domain may be a good idea.
But considering the skills that come with being good at maths I would say that you could also turn to careers in research, analyst, or truly any thing that can fit something you like.

Yes! Mathematics offers excellent job prospects, but it's true that not everyone fully recognizes its potential in the job market. While many may not immediately associate math with certain careers, the reality is that strong mathematical skills are in high demand across various industries. For example, roles such as data analysts, software engineers, and actuaries often require advanced math skills, and these positions continue to grow in demand. However, many people still overlook math as a key component of career development. As technology and data-driven decision-making expand, the job market for those with strong mathematical backgrounds will only continue to improve. So, while not everyone may immediately recognize the value of a math-focused career, those who do will likely find that the prospects are both strong and diverse.
