Primary school tutor, providing support with reading and subjects across Key stage 1 and 2

I am currently training to be a primary school teacher, this involves teaching, marking and supporting pupils with their learning during the course of training.

I have experience as a teaching assistant in year 6 aswell as throughout nursery, reception, year 2 and year 4.
Over the past 2 years I have been working as a year 6 teaching assistant and have worked with SEND and EAL learners to tailor their specific learning needs.

I have experience in after school tutoring in reading comprehension tasks and lower KS2 maths. My aim is to provide the knowledge and skills to widen learner's understanding and address any areas of concern they encounter to overcome barriers to learning.

I believe it is important to work at the pace of the learner and have patience in order for the learner to develop their understanding where they encounter difficulties. Learning is not linear and varies according to each individual.
