History Tutor - KS3, GCSE, A-Level and University applications

I have recently finished a BA Hons History Degree from York St John University gaining a 2:2. I am about to start at Master’s Degree in Museum and Heritage Development at Nottingham Trent University starting in September. I am currently working in retail, part time and would like to start another part time job I can carry on with when moving to Nottingham alongside my studying for my degree.

Having some experience and training with working at schools and training for a secondary History PGCE at the University of York and Pathfinder Teaching Hub. I believe I may be a suitable candidate role for this position. I enjoyed teaching smaller groups of students about history and to help push their passion and interests for the past. I have experience helping to plan lessons and independently marking work and giving feedback. Unfortunately, I did not complete this PGCE for personal reasons.

I have had recent experience with working at a Higher Education Provider so I would be able to advise any prospective University students about their applications and any interview progress.


Tutoring would also give me an opportunity to put the skills I have learnt at University and the PGCE into practice and to build on these skills.
