Passionate Artist Seeking to Inspire and Teach Students Aged 12-18

While my primary focus is on drawing, I bring a wealth of experience in painting, art history, and digital tools like Adobe Creative Cloud. I view these disciplines as interconnected, each complementing and enhancing the other.

In teaching drawing, I emphasise strong foundational skills. I start by introducing the materials and exploring how each tool functions. From there, students learn techniques such as creating shapes, achieving line quality, applying shading and texture, and mastering proportions. Observation skills are a key focus—drawing from life, practicing measuring techniques, and learning to see as an artist.

I also prioritise developing students' ability to discuss their work, offering constructive critiques, and fostering self-assessment. Experimentation is encouraged, with opportunities to explore various mediums, which naturally leads into art appreciation and discussions about renowned artists and their techniques.

Above all, my teaching approach is about building confidence. Every student is treated as an individual, and I tailor sessions to their unique needs, guiding them to grow as artists in their own way.
