PGCE Qualified Science and Maths Tutor (Birmingham and Walsall)

I am a PGCE qualified tutor with experience in one-to-one tutoring and running small group tutorials. I tutor in science (KS3 and GCSE) and maths (KS2, KS3 and GCSE).

I offer face-to-face and online tutoring. I have a fully enhanced DBS certificate, which is on the update service.

I tailor my tutorials to each of my students as I understand the importance of making education accessible to students of all learning styles and ability.

A unique service that I offer is my diagnostic skills - I can identify the specific barriers to my students' learning and offer a number of approaches to overcome them.

My approach can be summarised using the well-known Chinese proverb: "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime". My aim is to support students in becoming independent learners. I do this by focusing on revision skills, exam skills and other transferable skills that my students can carry forward into college and University..
