To make it easier, I split studying into 3 parts:

1. Learn the content
2. Revise the content
3. Exam preparation

My lesson structure depends on which stage you are on.

Stuck on Stage 1? Our lessons will look like this:
- Summarise the previous lesson and go through tasks/homework I have set.
- Introduction to the next topic you need help with.
- Check your understanding (by answering simple, textbook questions).
- Go through concepts again if you are unsure.
- Try some exam questions.
- Set you some tasks.

Stuck on Stage 2 - you are completely fine with learning the content, but have trouble remembering it?
- I will help you make revision tools to make this easier.
- We will go through exam-style questions using your revision tool (like an open book test). This is to check that your revision tool works for you.
- You will use the revision tool to revise the topic after the lesson.
- The next lesson, we will go through some exam-style questions without your revision tool (like a closed book test), to see what you have learnt!

Stuck on Stage 3 - you understand the content and you have no problem remembering it..you just don't get the marks in exams and need help to figure out why!
- You will answer exam-style questions before the lesson.
- I will go through them in the lesson and tell you what mark you would get in an exam and why.
- We will then go through more exam-style questions in the lesson with your new knowledge.
- I go through your answers again and we continue this cycle until you get your marks up.

Remember....these are YOUR lessons, so I will adapt the lessons depending on YOUR needs.
