I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Immunology, and Physiology. I have been tutoring for more than a year and have taught students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. I have experience teaching Math, Reading Comprehension and Korean. As a tutor, it is my priority to create an environment where my students feel safe to ask questions. I take my time to build meaningful connections with the students and their families so that I understand their personalities, weaknesses, strengths and learning styles. I always strive to build confidence in my students so that they are curious and feel motivated to learn. My goal is to help students build self-learning habits and independence so that they can manage their studies in the future. When students are distracted they quickly lose interest and become unmotivated, but I believe that it's very natural for students to feel this way. Being open-minded and attentive has allowed me to adjust the lessons depending on the student's needs so that they can learn at their own pace. I always let my students know that I am here to help in any way I can while also maintaining professional boundaries. If my students want, I can also proofread their work or give them feedback in areas that they want to focus on.
