I'm an enthusiastic and skilled English tutor with a first class degree in Journalism, a TEFL certificate and 14 years’ experience teaching online.
Your learning is my priority! My methodology is 100% person-centred and each class is designed specifically for each student. Classes are tailored to an individual's personal goals, learning style, strengths and weaknesses, and much more. This is why our trial class will be spent talking about YOU and your needs, giving me as much information as possible for me to best serve you as we take this journey together. I’ve supported many students over the years to successfully pass Cambridge exams (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE), and I also enjoy working with ‘reluctant learners’ - professionals who may find English challenging or dull, but need to improve due to career aims or other necessities in life. I love the rewarding feeling of having a student call me to say thank you after an important business meeting or job interview that we prepared for in class. I'm very confident and experienced in teaching Business English, and any tricky grammar topics you might need help with. I love conversational classes too, using your personal interests and needs to make sessions interesting and engaging.
I graduated from University in 2005 with a first class degree in Journalism, and started teaching after qualifying as a TEFL tutor in 2010. As a published author, freelance writer and editor, I have also taught student entrepreneurs how to improve their professional writing skills - whether it’s creating a weekly blog post or editing content for your business.
I have many hobbies, but travelling is my biggest passion. Learning new languages, exploring new foods and cultures and meeting people from all over the world are the things that make me feel excited and alive. This is also why I love to teach and use my knowledge to help others. I'm creative, versatile and friendly, and I pride myself on making classes relaxing and enjoyable.
