Advert description
With 25+ years experience, I delight in nurturing tutees growth and confidence in expression to fulfil their specific needs, tailoring sessions to their requirements. I have a wealth of experience in a range of settings including: private and state schools; TEFL; functional skills; business English and a specialism in Creative Writing and poetry. As an actor and a playwright too, folk seem to enjoy the creative approach and real-life experience I bring. I love to help individuals engage with their learning journey, meet their goals, grown and flourish. I'm an experienced examiner too in a range of qualifications and different boards which helps.

ONLINE only.

'DELIGHTED with my GCSE results - predicted 4s and got 6 for English Language and 5 for Literature! Hooray! Without Sarah's help I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this. She made our lessons fun and enjoyable as well as teaching me so much and making me feel to much confident when going into exams I can’t THANK her enough for her help.' - Melanie, GCSE student

'My daughter was overwhelmed by A level English having missed so much school due to Covid. I feel the help Sarah gave her is exactly what she needed. She's moved her from freeze and avoid, to confidently having a range of strategies to tackle the work with increasing independence. So grateful for the support improving her organisation, analysis and written work. Success and relief!' - Jo, mum of A level student

'I look forward to sessions with Sarah. Initially it was for support to pass functional skills as part of work based apprenticeship. Having undiagnosed dyslexia and Autism at school ruined my experience; now I feel confident, have passed my level 1 and 2 and have begun writing a novel. Unbelievable! Thank you Sarah.' - John (50)

'Marcus is a school refuser who suffers from anxiety, dyslexia and PDA. Often he chooses not to engage, when Sarah is working with him I feel such relief to hear laughter and chatter coming from the office. Wonderful. Thank you.' - Karen, mum (37)

'I’m off to A-level drama and film studies, confident that I can do my a-levels using the knowledge, essay writing skills and even the unexpected performance skills! Thanks.' - Katie

'So grateful for the expertise, humour, clarity and sound presentation advice and practice I received form Sarah. I went for bag of nerves to . . . I GOT THE JOB!' - George (45)
