Online GCSE Tuition For Students with Additional Needs

1-1 Online GCSE Maths Sessions for students with additional needs. These sessions are focused on supporting students who have additional needs that may make their learning in school or their revision at home more challenging. I am a fully qualified Teacher who has 6 years in class experience. I have also been teaching online for a year and in this time have supported 6 GCSE Students, half of which had additional needs. My professional development during my career has focused on understanding learning difficulties and knowing not only what to expect but how to support students in feeling confident, comfortable and in control during their learning. During multiple observations of my lessons, I have received formal feedback from Senior members of staff about my support of these students and about my ability to make them feel part of the class and feel respected and appreciated. Far too often, students who have an additional need are not given the priority that they deserve and my tuition aims to challenge that and make them feel heard and proud of the achievements they are working so hard to accomplish.
All sessions are structured to best support your teenager's needs. For example, one of my previous students who was diagnosed as a child with autism, found it more comfortable to complete our sessions with cameras off and with discussion limited to just answering and explaining. Not only did we manage to make him feel confident, we increased his Maths grade by 2 whole grades and I helped him reach a point where he would independently log on ready for his sessions and be comfortable enough to recognise and explain to me his mistakes during calculations.
All sessions with me are personalised so that they are specific to each student. But the main structure of lessons is planned out in a way that students know exactly what to expect and are not seeing different style PowerPoints and teaching strategies every lesson. There is consistency to my lessons so that students again feel comfortable and in control of their learning.
All students who sign up are also offered their first 2 sessions at half price to give them time to just try it out and decide if this is the right fit for them as well as a free 30 minute trial session where both the student and parent can see an example lesson and ask any questions you may have.
