Advert description
My journey in the field of pedagogy and higher education started several years ago. To date, I have done my NVQ level 2 and NVQ level 3 in teaching. Having completed this course, I then started work as a teaching assistant through a specialist education agency, whilst at the same time continuing my studies in the field of chemistry with The Open University. In addition to all this, I have gained experience in the chemistry department of secondary school. This helped me to gain self-confidence in my teaching abilities and cemented my future goals of becoming a chemistry teacher. During my time at the school, I helped the chemistry teacher with setting up practical experiments for students to do. I observed that well-engaging and well-planned lessons with continuous support from the teacher can result in highly motivated students. I am working with the agency so I am visiting different schools for work. I am aware of the safeguarding issues and their importance towards working with the children. I know how to respond to any child protection concerns. I know that working with children comes with a good deal of responsibility and taking action in good time will produce the best outcomes.
My time working as a teaching assistant in schools has taught me that being well organised along with good time management helps one to strike a good balance between family commitments and one's professional life, and through my experiences, I believe successful professional life is possible alongside healthy family life.
Working through REED education, I am holding experience working with the Autism spectrum. I can manage the behaviour issue with autism-like delay in speech, sometimes confusion in understanding. I know people with autism feel and hear differently from other people so the learning for those children can be affected in a variety of ways. As a teaching assistant, I always tried to put my best efforts to bring things on track.
During my CACHE level 2 course, I am holding experience in East Berkshire College with a small group having Dyslexia. I am a member of The Royal Society of Chemistry. I attend their webinars and other events organized by them. This has helped me to add to my subject knowledge and is also very useful for finding resources in the field of chemistry
I can speak URDU, ENGLISH, and PUNJABI where the language requires. I have excellent ICT skills
