Advert description
I am a postgraduate student majoring in TESOL at the University of Sheffield. This position is a good opportunity to put what I learned into practice.
At the same time, I am confident that I have the skills and experience to succeed in this position. I have gained practical experience as a primary school teacher and Senior High School English teaching assistant. My high performance has earned me a place to work as an elementary school English teacher at Jinqu Qufu School. During my tenure, I was conscious of the significance of children-centred education tailored to the independent individual with a unique teaching pedagogy, e.g., brainstorming and engaging in dialogue together, which would facilitate children to match their interests with the skills and concepts instead of the teacher-centred teaching model and the exam-oriented evaluation mechanism. While using Steiner’s model of education, including the four basic temperaments: choleric, phlegmatic, melancholic and sanguine, I set a goal to design a classroom that accommodated all these temperaments so that each child had a diversity of social and academic coping mechanisms. Regarding student growth and transitions, diversity and inclusion, transformational learning, and sentiments of belonging, I have concentrated on identities, relationships, and behaviours in education.
