Online DBT and Solution Focused Therapy Informed Coaching for 11-19 year olds

Advert description
I have over twenty years experience working with adolescents. I use DBT, Solution Focused Therapy and NLP alongside coaching models-As a coach I help clients with:
– Engaging more in class and learning outcomes.
– Regulating their behaviour.
– Becoming more independent, responsible and resilient so that they can take control of their lives.
– Overall performance and wellbeing.
What happens in a 1-1 coaching session?
1 A Coach listens to the student – this includes listening to the spoken and unspoken word.
2. A Coach summarises and reflects back what is heard to make sure the Coach fully understands the student correctly.
3. A Coach asks the student powerful questions and uses tools and techniques such as GROW, NAIL DOWNS and Creative imagination exercises (e.g. Vision boards) – all of which raise and expand awareness and learning.
4. A Coach helps the student move learning and awareness into action (and really committing to that action) so that the student makes the changes necessary to move forward in their process.
5. A Coach helps a student look at all the things or obstacles that get in the way of success and find constructive ways to manage them ahead of time.
6. A Coach formulates a time limited coaching programme where the Coach and student meet on a regular basis so that progress can be monitored and reviewed. This also enables the student to learn constructively from what is working well and not so well and make the necessary changes to get back on track. Note sometimes coaching is a one-off so this is not always possible.
7. A Coach gives the student positive reinforcement, encouragement and constructive feedback-I am qualified in child and adolescent coaching and accredited by the IAPCM and ICF, I am in the final stage of the ATP diploma in Child and Adolescent mental health. I am also a qualified an NLP Master Practitioner. I offer life coaching and mentoring, alongside support with study skills and the curriculum. I currently support students in a local secondary school and also students who are not currently attending school with reintegration, either back to school, into employment/apprenticeships or further education.
