English Tutor for English Language and Literature, KS3, GCSE and A level

I have worked for many tutoring companies now, including Telios Tutors and Myrtle Learning. While working for these companies I have developed my own teaching style. This is very reliant on adaptability, every student is different and so I create resources adapted to the individual needs of every student.

Generally, this includes using Google Drive quite heavily. Using Google Drive I create lessons for the students that they can interact with while I am teaching, I then provide any resources requested, or homework that needs to be completed. By using this software effectively I have found that my students are able to, not only improve within my lessons, but also their revision outside of our lessons thanks to the materials I provide.

Furthermore, I always respond to emails from both parents and students when requesting additional materials, or advice on academic topics. For example, I have helped several of my students complete their applications to Oxford after assisting with their learning journey. I like to believe that I am able to coach any student throughout the entirety of their academic journey, or as briefly as they need me, whatever is called for at the time.

Finally, I believe it is worth saying that, what I try to do when working with my students, is increase their confidence in their subjects. Many students have come to me believing they could not achieve even their required grades, and have exceeded this by gaining a greater belief in their academic skills.
