Bristol or Online: Cambridge University graduate offering tutoring for English Language and Literature, and university application support

Advert description
I am a passionate but patient teacher- I love English and want to help others discover the wonders of literature and language. Based in Bristol or Online!

I am able offer the following services:
- Academic tuition in A-Level English Literature, English Language, Philosophy and Ethics, and Religious Studies
- Admissions tuition for Oxbridge or UK Russell Group Universities; including interview preparation, admissions tests, help writing UCAS applications and SAQ test for Cambridge
- Academic tuition in GCSE English Literature, English Language, Philosophy and Ethics, Religious Studies
- Mock Interview Sessions
- Training in productivity, study skills, time management and efficient working
- General Application counselling
- Essay brainstorming/reviewing with feedback

All my lessons are catered to the individual needs of the students, encouraging areas of passion and strength while also helping target areas of growth. For example, if close reading of poetry is a real challenge, we will spend a session looking at how to detect poetic devices, with close attention to language, form and sound.
But at the same time, I love to identify and encourage the passions and strengths of each student, especially for those at A-level, so they can expand their reading and develop their thinking in ways that make them come alive.
For each student, I will identify a growth plan to attain their projected grade, helping them understand what is expected by the examiner as they approach exams and coursework, while also encouraging creative thinking and learning. As an experienced mentor, I love to draw out the passions and strengths in students, to help them demonstrate this as they write personal statements for university, and prepare for interview.
In all this I draw from my experience applying for and studying at Cambridge University where I read English and developed an undying enthusiasm for reading and writing.
