Violin,Viola and Music Theory tuition for all ages and skills

I am passionate about creating and developing confidence in students abilities. I have over 30 years experience in teaching privately but have also taught in a primary school location. I take on beginners up to grade 8 and I am happy giving tuition to children and adult learners and have a full DBS check. I work mainly from home but can travel and have taught online when necessary.
I tailor my teaching to suit the needs of the individual student and am happy teaching beginners to engage with a Violin or Viola, playing for fun or taking exams and coaching students all the way up to grade 8. I also teach Music Theory, most students only want to achieve grade 5 but higher grades can be assisted with to support students in GCSE and A Level music studies. I firmly believe that creating confidence in playing is as important as developing musical techniques.
For students wanting to take exams I use ABRSM exam board but can use Trinity as well.
My musical qualifications include ABRSM grade 8 Violin and Music Theory and ABRSM grade 7 Viola. GCSE and Double A Level Music.
In my spare time I play in many local orchestras and play regularly with a string quartet.
