Making Learning Enjoyable

I have been a tutor primarily for Pre-K-6th for several years. I have worked with middle school, high school, and adults as well. I work with students to understand the basic fundamentals, processes, and criteria prior to worrying about the answer. I use materials that are easy to understand and keep a calm, patient, engaged, and positive approach. Learning doesn't have to be painful. It does have to have motivation and willingness to learn. I do not judge where a student is in their education, but meet them where they are to help them achieve their goals. I teach Math, English Language Arts, and English as a second language. I have occasionally taught science and art.
