I am experienced in tutoring students of all abilities, meeting them where they are in the learning process. I believe I am the ideal candidate for this position.
I work with students of all ages, from elementary school to college level, domestically and internationally. I break material down into easy-to-understand concepts. I have tutored students working to earn a high-school diploma, and I have worked with adults to build a business. I know how important it is to make the student feel relaxed, which in turn helps them become ready to learn. My most recent experience is PreK-6th grade and middle school.
I find tutoring a rewarding experience and can’t imagine doing any other type of work. I know education can be challenging in many aspects, from moving from a state that doesn’t recognize common core learning to a student simply struggling with learning skills. I provide the calming influence and extra boost that certain students need. My passion for learning and teaching shines through to the students as they become excited and motivated to reach their goals. I have been recognized as a top tutor with parents.
I have one year of domestic and one year of international experience teaching various subjects, including math, English Language Arts, ESL, and the common core elements to various grade levels. I have taught adults ESL, business, and computer skills. My background enables me to tutor students who are struggling with the multiple components of their education. Teaching difficult subjects has definitely taught me patience. There is no greater joy for me than to patiently guide a student to the correct process or formula in order to support their finding the correct answer. When a student has that "aha!" moment, all my efforts are worth it.
