Hi young people!

I have been tutoring for 10+ years and I specialize in biology, and also in helping applicants secure entry into medical school. I have a background in medicine and other biological sciences.

I believe my teaching methods are unique; they are based on:-

- learning the Greek roots of a handful of technical terms from which deducing other terms becomes easy.
- associating different parts of the syllabus and cross-linking facts, which aids memory immensely
- detailed tips on exam technique + doing past papers early on [I will guide you on how to read the examiner's mind from the phrasing of the Q]
- memory tactics using the principles outlined by Tony Buzan in his famous book “Use your memory”.
- deriving a large part of the syllabus from simple everyday observations in life.
- using a two-way teaching method, so you don’t get bored, and you are welcome to ask questions anytime.
- I have a whole load of Powerpoint files created by myself, which I use for teaching, and which I share with my students.

I have had students who hated biology but after just a few lessons started adoring the subject – e.g. with one student, I was pleasantly surprised one day when she had created a lovely chart on cell function and stuck it on her wall – of course she got an A grade [there was no A* then]!!
