Hello! My name is Suzanne. I am passionate about helping young people to be successful with their studies!

As a student (many years ago!), I excelled in Psychology at A Level and went on to study the subject further at Durham University. During my time at university, I voluntarily tutored two A Level students weekly in the evenings. This is what sparked my passion for teaching, as I have currently been a fully-qualified Psychology teacher for 2 years now! What makes me stand out as a tutor is that I have been teaching Psychology to KS4 and KS5 since starting my teacher training in 2021. I have knowledge of a variety of key psychological approaches and theories, such as explanations of memory, aggression, addiction, mental disorders, attachment, relationships and many, many more! Additionally, I have taught across a variety of exam board, including OCR for GCSE Psychology and OCR, Edexcel and WJEC for A Level. With regards to how my lessons will be structured, as well as covering course content to greaten knowledge and understanding of topics, I will focus particularly on exam skills and answering past paper questions. Moreover, it is so important to continuously recap content that has been previously learnt through knowledge check activities. This is to aid students with retaining information in the long-term. I am available for online tutoring, however I would be willing to teach in person if a student is within the Preston area. I also have an enhanced DBS certificate.
