As a student-led tutor, my approach focuses on empowering the student to take more ownership of their learning journey. I see my role as a facilitator or guide, helping them navigate the material and build their confidence in their abilities.

I often start by asking the student what they hope to achieve from our sessions and what areas they struggle with the most. Based on this information, we set goals together so that they can measure their progress.

During the actual tutoring sessions, I encourage the student to take the lead by asking questions and guiding the discussion. If they're struggling with a particular concept, I'll ask them to talk me through their thought process and offer subtle hints or corrections to guide them towards the right answer. This approach helps them to solidify their understanding of the material and feel more confident in their abilities.

I also encourage the student to take ownership of their learning by setting homework assignments and encouraging them to practice their skills outside of our sessions. Overall, my approach is focused on helping the student become an independent learner and take control of their academic success.
