Fun and engaging lessons using lots of drama pedagogy with the child at the centre

I am a Primary Teacher with an additional Drama Degree and like to teach all subjects using role play and lots of dialogue. When children are 'in role' it helps to make learning meaningful, purposeful, and engaging. The child is cast within a fictional context as an expert with responsibilities and the power to make decisions and this both empowers them and stores in their long term memory. Work is broken down into small pieces so that the child has processing time and revisited regularly through formative and summative assessment.
My fun, calm manner enables children to have affinity which is essential before learning new content.
