Advert description
Who'd have thought that I struggled with studying and understanding my sciences during primary and secondary school? Years later, I am studying for a science-based degree at a Russell Group University where I aim to help others and the climate.
I understand how it feels to be utterly lost in your lessons, unable to keep up with others around you. It wasn't until I came to University that I pushed for an assessment where it was brought to my attention that I had Dyspraxia. I've now learned various ways to teach myself that make it so much easier to process information and I wish I had only known this sooner.
My Education Journey:
I wish I could sit here and say how amazing I was throughout my GSCEs. I had my weaknesses as anyone with additional needs would. I observed those who were able to achieve those straight A's/9's. My peers who were naturally gifted in gaining those grades from school teaching alone; Those same students that would only need to be told once to understand the topic. I understand your frustration.
It was only through external support from my teachers at the time that helped me gain the grades I needed to begin my A levels, only for me to excel in my sciences in the end. I then gained my first choice A-level subjects, keeping my head down, and trying different methods of revision only for me to only be heart-broken in my final year when the Covid-19 lockdown occurred and the "calculated grades" I was given did not reflect the effort I had put in. However, my determination was not lost. I knew exactly what university I had dreamed of attending and I wasn't going to settle for less. I then managed to get a last-minute place on a Biochemistry Access to Higher Education course where I came out at the top of my class, securing a place at one of the top ranking Universities in the UK for my chosen course.
As someone who knows the struggles that you are going through very well, I aim to provide tutoring that makes it less intimidating and more attentive to your needs.
