Hi, I'm Shiza Hussnain, a passionate therapist based in Lahore, Pakistan. Currently working at the Lahore Institute of Special Care and Attention (LISCA) since October 2023, I specialize in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to understand and address diverse developmental challenges in children. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, I design and implement tailored intervention plans for children with special needs, focusing on fostering emotional well-being and social skills development through individual and group counseling.
My journey in the field began during my internship at Mayo Hospital, where I conducted in-depth psychological assessments for children, evaluating their cognitive, emotional, and social development. During this time, I developed and implemented personalized therapeutic interventions for children dealing with behavioral issues, trauma, or developmental challenges. I collaborated with parents, educators, and professionals to create holistic support plans, specializing in addressing childhood disorders such as ADHD, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorders.
My dedication extends to my work at Fountain House, where I engaged in patient interaction and support, crisis intervention, therapeutic activities, and team collaboration. Additionally, my experience at Nishtar Hospital involved providing assistance to healthcare professionals and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients and their families.
Beyond my therapeutic roles, I contributed to education as a psychology teacher in Pakistan. I designed and delivered engaging lessons, monitored student progress, and fostered a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Currently pursuing a Master's in Clinical Psychology at Bahria University, I hold a Bachelor's in Applied Psychology from Bahaudin Zakariya University. I furthered my education with a Bachelor's in Education from Allama Iqbal University, showcasing my commitment to both the psychological and educational fields.
As a remote tutor since December 2021, I provide personalized tutoring services in psychology. My approach involves developing tailored lesson plans and instructional materials, implementing effective teaching strategies to enhance understanding and academic performance.
