Maths may be easy or hard, and while it is undoubtedly true that this in part depends on the innate I also passionately believe that much also depends on how the subject is approached, and how it is taught.
After a successful professional career as an actuary, I have now returned to my roots, and like to spend my time helping others to learn more about this elegant subject.
I don't subscribe to the 'one-size-fits-all' aproach to teaching mathematics, and as such all my lessons are first built around an evaluation of what the student knows, what they are struggling with and what their learning objectives are. Also, while maths may not always be fun and an appreciation of beauty must always to some degree in the eye of the beholder I always look for opportunities to bring a little of both into my lessons, as aside from the aesthetics I also strongly believe that this helps with the learning process
