My online tutorials begin with an evaluation of what the student knows, what problems or concepts they are struggling with and (for second and subsequent lessons) a review of prior week learnings and a follow-up on any outstanding queries or problems. Beynd that I try to keep the structure fairly fluid so it can be customised to specific need.
I also always try to make myself available to students outside formal lesson times wherever possible, as I apprecate from my own experience when learning maths that hitting problems and having to wait up to a week for an answer can be quite frustrating!
