Advert description
As a native English speaker and a qualified teacher in the UK, I bring a deep understanding of the English language and a commitment to providing high-quality education. I am in my fifth year of teaching and my qualifications include a Post-16 and Further Education PGCE (distinction/1st), which has equipped me with the necessary pedagogical tools to deliver effective instruction.
I have been tutoring English online for the past two years, as well as working in the role of an SEN (Special Educational Needs) teacher, in an international school rated ‘Outstanding’ teaching the iGCSE curriculum. I have taught KS2 (Primary) and KS3/4 (Secondary) English. My experience has allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the English curriculum and effective teaching strategies to help students excel academically, as well as proficient teaching expertise to improve reading, writing and speaking skills.
My role in an international setting has also provided me with the opportunity to work with a significant influx of EFL/EAL students, which led to invaluable experience in catering to the unique needs of these learners. I have also worked with students with a variety of needs including (but not limited to) Dyslexia, ADHD and ASD. I recognise the importance of creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that fosters confidence and encourages active participation. My patience, adaptability, and empathy have allowed me to connect with learners from various cultural backgrounds and language proficiency levels, helping them overcome language barriers and achieve their goals.
I am an enthusiastic, patient and positive teacher who tries to make each lesson fun and engaging. My experience has reinforced my passion for teaching English and English as a foreign language and solidified my ability to facilitate language acquisition effectively. I give 110% in each session, meaning guaranteed results!
