Chemistry is often a least favourite subject, but I would love the opportunity to help people to love it as much as I do.

I have a long-term enjoyment of teaching. I started off teaching dancing as a teenager, but chose an academic career path, obtaining a PhD in organic chemistry and chemical biology. I have over a decade of experience as a synthetic organic chemist and medicinal chemist in the drug discovery industry, during which time I have created training materials and run up-skilling workshops for colleagues. I enjoy analysing how different people learn and taking time to help people understand difficult subjects, especially science.
