I love science, especially chemistry, but I know not everyone does. I would like you to tell me what you are finding difficult and work with you. I started off teaching ballroom and latin dancing when I was a teenager, I even taught my husband to dance for our wedding, and I found the best way to teach is to understand what makes sense to the student and work with them. No two people learn in quite the same way, and being able to support complex ideas with visualisations and familiar concepts can help to make those difficult subjects easier to understand. I am a very visual learner myself and I have a wealth of revision techniques that involve recapitulating information into colourful diagrams.

I have an advanced degree so I am very familiar with taking exams, so not only can I provide support to help people to understand the material better, I have lots of tips and tricks for revision and exams too. I also have over a decade of experience working in the drug discovery industry. Part of my responsibilities involved training and mentoring staff. I have produced training materials from introductory level to advanced subjects in drug discovery. One of my pet peeves when it comes to delivering training is when the trainer just talks the whole time and hasn't incorporated any opportunities for discussion, reflection or engagement. I have advanced research skills, so whatever question you might have, I will endeavour to find the answer and incorporate it into discussions so we can learn together.

I hope to provide a tailored experience to students to help them achieve their goals, whether it's to pass GSCE science, or to understand nuances of mechanisms in degree-level organic chemistry.
