1st Class Mathematics Graduate with 150+ lessons of tutoring experience

Hey there :)

My name is David. I recently graduated with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Mathematics from Durham University. This year, I’m studying Financial and Computation Mathematics at University of Nottingham.

I have 150+ lessons of tutoring experience, both here on MyTutor and with private students. I'm incredibly friendly and easy-going and I really enjoy teaching the subject I love to others.

I have a very good understanding of all exam board specifications.

I believe that every student is different which is why I adapt my teaching to accommodate the student's style of learning so they can get the most out of the sessions. It is important that everyone gets to learn in an environment they feel most comfortable in - I strive to give this to each of my students and create an atmosphere where they are motivated to learn and do their best.

I always encourage my students to ask plenty of questions to make sure they understand the content. Often I explain things in multiple ways so the students can understand the theory behind the maths we are doing which will help them to solve harder problems in the exam.
