Studying at a UK university? Need tailored help with Academic Writing (e.g. Dissertation) and Speaking (including Pronunciation)?

Advert description
I have 30 years of experience working in a British university, teaching Academic English (Writing and Speaking) to international and British students, across all levels (undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral) and across a range of disciplines, specialising in Science and Engineering. I tailor learning/teaching materials to meet my students' needs.

Qualifying as an English language teacher in 1985, I hold a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, a postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, and a Certificate in Online Tutoring of English as a Foreign Language.

In feedback to my university, my previous students stated they would recommend me to their friends; they enjoyed my sessions; they found my sessions and materials useful; and that my sessions met their needs and helped them improve.

Below is some unsolicited feedback, received before I retired:

“I really like your sessions, they are so interactive! Thank you!” (British undergraduate, Nursing).

"Thank you for your work as a lecturer. Your guidance has always been tactful, pertinent, and punctual, and it really helped me improve. Not only did I gain new skills, but I also enjoyed the sessions." (Italian Ph.D. student, Computer Science).

"I just wanted to say thank you for your inspiring lectures. It is clear that you love what you do and you spread joy and motivation to your students. I do wish all the professors had so much passion and cared so much for their students." (Portuguese Ph.D. student, Modelling Climate Change).

"Thank you so much for the feedback. I was completely unaware of those Pronunciation mistakes." (Italian Ph.D. student, Civil Engineering).

“Joining your class is one of the best things in the miserable 2020. Yesterday I finished the last supervisory meeting of the year and got very positive feedback from my superiors. I cannot achieve this good start without your patient help and unique teaching methods, so you will be the first person to share this good news. I just want to say thank you.” (Chinese Ph.D. student, Molecular Biology).

Finally, I received an award for my work:
"Congratulations you have been recognised through [uni] Recognition Awards
Thank you Alice for all your help with the Dissertation Support Programme for the MScs in Statistics. We could not have done it without you!" (Prof. XX).
