I tailor lessons and materials based on students' work and study needs and interests. The first session is therefore dedicated to finding out what a student needs. A course plan (usually for 6 weeks) is then prepared and proposed. Once the student approves it, we can start the lessons. The course plan can be amended, if necessary. This process is repeated at the end of 6 weeks, if the student wishes to continue.

Lessons are interactive; students are expected to prepare for sessions in advance and complete homework assignments. Feedback is provided promptly.

I usually use PowerPoint slides to introduce the lesson, outlining the objectives and outcomes of the session. The main learning points are then introduced and practised. Students are encouraged to ask questions. At the end of the session, there is a short assessment of learning to check that the lesson outcomes have been achieved, and homework is given to consolidate learning.

I am happy for sessions to be recorded so that students can review the content at their convenience.

I encourage students to learn outside the session by introducing them to various Apps and other online resources.
