Advert description
What to expect from the lessons?
The lessons follow a standard learning routine that involves starter questions from previous topics, content breakdown and exam practice.
How is content delivered?
The socratic method is employed as the main method of teaching through the presentation of content in the form of a discussion to ensure that key the concepts being presented are well received and understood. This is followed by exam style questions that build exam technique and allow students to critically engage with the content.
Typical lesson lengths are 1 hour but I am willing to adapt according to students needs. This also includes utilising different learning styles (visual, reading, verbal) that is most suited to the individual.
These lessons are targeted for students looking to enhance their critical perception of key biological and chemical principles. As a recently matriculated university student in the University of Edinburgh, I am able to reflect on my GCSE and A-Level journey and understand how to best approach the AQA curriculums in order to help students with challenging topics.
My A-Level grades from the-exam season were:
(AQA) A-Level Biology- A*
(AQA)A-Level Chemistry-A*
(AQA) A-Level English Literature- A
(Edexcel) Modern Greek- A*
