Advert description
Depending upon each students specific goals in their artwork, whether that be a GCSE or A-level coursework portfolio, or simply a desire to learn art in their spare time, I will tailor the course of lessons to their preferred mediums and ideas. The lessons will be pre-planned, each building upon the previous lesson's content, with an aim to gradually build skills, ideas and confidence in a variety of mediums. This may involve a brainstorming session, a guide to researching artists and creating plans and mood boards at the beginning of a project. The next step may include a tutorial or guided session in a medium to outline different artistic techniques or approaches. I will provide guidance on project content and goals and help the student achieve a fully researched and well executed final piece/portfolio. My experience stems from GCSE art and design in which I achieved a Grade 9, which led me to do a Diploma in Art and Design at an arts college in Hereford. I specialise in drawing (particularly charcoal, pencil, pastels and inks), painting and sculpture. I have an in-depth knowledge of methods of printmaking, types of paints, clay, glazing and extensive textiles experience. I have also written many annotations for my sketchbooks and art history essays at university, so I am also well equipped to give guidance on the written aspects of art projects if necessary. Lessons will be online so that must be taken into consideration when planning lessons and choosing a medium but I will try my hardest to accommodate any and all mediums that the student wishes to explore as I believe experimentation is the most valuable form of learning!
