Advert description
I am a PhD student at the University of Manchester and have been a private tutor for over five years. I have experience teaching all ages, ranging from primary school up to university level.
I am currently studying in the Department of Politics at the University of Manchester, which is consistently ranked as one of the top politics departments worldwide. The course has allowed me to further expand on my political knowledge and essay-writing skills. The modules I have studied both here, and during my undergraduate degree, have allowed me to specialise in areas such as, but are not limited to, American politics, Middle-Eastern politics, Contemporary British politics, voting behaviour and the Second World War.
Although I specialise in history and politics, I also teach English Literature and Language and have done for many years. I have experience working with all ages. I currently work part time in a primary school and have taught children from year 1 up to year 6. I can also help with the 11+. I also have been tutoring at GCSE level for several years, focusing mainly on history and English Literature and Language. On top of this, I have experience tutoring History and Politics A-Level.
As a student myself, I understand all too well the high levels of stress and anxiety that pupils go through during the run up to exam season. However, exam stress can be easily managed and I hope to help pupils feel less anxious and more confident for their exams.
