I have been tutoring since 2018 and have a plethora of experience tutoring individuals and groups. I have proven results that my tutoring methods are successful. For example, one of my current students has excelled by going from a grade 6 to a grade 9 within three months of our tutoring lessons beginning.

Moreover, I am very much aware that many of my students will be planning to apply for university in the upcoming years. Henceforth, I try to encourage them to start thinking about their applications as early as possible. Therefore, I encourage my English students to enter writing competitions on a bi-monthly basis. In which I offer help and guidance through the entire process. Many top-rated universities across the UK, including Oxbridge, find competitions like such, to be invaluable. I have had numerous students win several of these highly-regarded competitions in the past and it has not only worked to strengthen their applications, but has also increased their confidence and writing skills.

I have also successfully completed courses such as, Educating and Engaging Others which has enhanced my ability to produce fascinating lessons that keep my students engaged and interested. I currently work part time in a primary school so I have much experience helping children of younger ages. However, I also have several GCSE and A-Level students that I private tutor, as well as also teaching within the Politics Department at Manchester University.

I have 5+ years of experience teaching children at primary school level, KS3 English, GCSE English and history and A-Level History and politics.

Lessons structure:

Every single one of my lessons are tailored specifically for each individual student. I always accommodate for their preferred learning style to allow them to reach their full potential. I ensure that my lessons are constantly varied, for example, during English lessons, I will expose my students to a range of different writing structures to fully prepare them for exams. I also like to use resources such as Kahoot and Jamboard to make the most out of lesson time. If a student is studying politics, it is imperative that they are kept up to date with current world events, therefore I incorporate this into my lessons. This allows the student to ask any relevant questions, debate and broaden their knowledge which will ultimately assist them in their future exams.

I am happy to record each and every one of my lessons so that my students can use this for revision later down the line. It also allows the parent to stay in the loop as they can see for themselves what we are doing during class time. I will always keep the parent up to date with regular updates on their child’s progress and I have been acknowledged by parents in the past for doing this.

GCSE English texts I specialise in include:
- An Inspector Calls
- Macbeth
- A Christmas Carol
- Of Mice and Men
- Animal Farm
- Much Ado About Nothing
- Frankenstein

I am also very familiar with both the Relationships and Power and Conflict poetry clusters (AQA), as well as the four clusters (Relationships, Place Belonging, Conflict, Time) for Edexcel. On top of this, I am accustomed to the English Language exam for both AQA and Edexcel. I have many resources for every area of English board, including revision guides that I have made myself.

History:
Due to the degree that I have in history, my knowledge on history topics is extremely wide and extensive. Please send me a message with the exact history topic you need help with and I can let you know if I can help. However, I do have experience teaching most of the AQA and Edexcel GCSE History modules.

I am more than happy to take part in a trial session so that as a parent, you are satisfied I meet your tutoring needs and that your child feels comfortable and happy with me as their tutor.

For primary school children, the lessons I plan are based off the national curriculum, ensuring that our lessons are necessary and relevant. I like to emphasise the importance of spelling and writing techniques.

My lessons are one hour long, online and are adapted for each individual student.
