I am in the process of getting my music degree, I have just come back from an exchange in America and this has given me so much more experience and perspective on teaching this instrument. I achieved my grade 8 abrsm 5 years ago however I am also experienced in Rockschool up to grade 5. I tailor the lesson to the student and work around what they want to learn. I will always teach the basics like the scales, theory etc however in terms of playing i will always make this fun and exciting. If the student wants to play a certain piece whatever genre I will help them learn that piece! I Like to keep my lessons professional but also fun and exciting so the student learns but also enjoys the playing as well as the learning! I took a couple of gap years before going to university which is when I did a piano teaching business, I got 7 pupils for 8 months ages 5-55. I absolutely loved teaching and the satisfaction I got out off it.
