Advert description
Hi! My name is Joe and I'm a Manchester based guitarist who has an honours degree at the Royal Northern College of Music on the BMus (Hons) Popular Music course. I specialise in guitar, bass and ukulele in the rock, pop, blues, funk and metal genres.
I have taught students who have played for years to students who have never picked up a instrument before, everyone is welcome so please don't worry if you are a beginner!
As well as teaching, I provide work as a live and studio musician having recorded in a variety of Manchester-based studios and also performing in a variety of bands and ensembles including the ‘RNCM Session Orchestra’. I also regularly play guitar in function bands at the weekends for weddings and corporate events, travelling all over the country.
A few key moments in my music career so far would be playing guitar in the 'Manchester Christmas Lights Switch On’ to over 20,000 people. Performing on radio for BBC Live Lounge twice was also an amazing and surreal experience to be a part of. One of my favourite live events that I have been involved in would have to be playing guitar with the Manchester Camerata Orchestra for the show 'Frank Wildhorn and Friends' at 'Manchester's Palace Theatre'.
Teaching Style:
I teach a large variety of genres but I specialise mostly in rock, pop, blues and funk styles. However if you have an interest in a particular style of music then this can definitely be discussed. If you are working towards grades then this is also something I do provide.
