Professional guitar teacher - Fun and affordable lessons tailored to your ability and musical interests!

Advert description
I'm a passionate, friendly and experienced guitar teacher working in South Manchester. I teach electric, acoustic and classical guitar to suit all levels, ages and goals.

Our first lesson is completely free and will be a relaxed meeting, allowing you the chance to meet me, ask me any questions, and get a feel for what I'm like as a teacher. There is absolutely no obligation to continue after that lesson. If you do, I will use what we have discussed to properly plan your subsequent lessons tailored to your specific interests and experience level.

Broadly we will look at improving: Technique, rhythm, repertoire (songs / pieces you can confidently play), music theory knowledge & application, performance, improvisation. Nothing is strictly mandated - for example i won't force specific songs you don't like on you or make you do music theory if you have no interest in it.

Lessons may lead to taking Grade exams, writing / performing your own music or even moving into teaching yourself. They may also just be for fun! It's about what you want to get out of it.

For parents: My youngest students at the moment are 6 and I would recommend that as about the youngest sensible age to start thinking about guitar lessons for your child. 30 minute lessons would be the norm for younger students. You are encouraged to sit in on all the lessons or potentially have the lessons at your address (limited availability & small extra cost) and contact me any time about their progress.

It's really never too late to start either!

Prices are £25 per hour and £13 for 30 minute slots. Please get in touch and I will respond as soon as i see your message!

I have had guitar lessons with Albert for a few months now and I can safely say that I have progressed a lot with his advice, the lessons are always really interesting and tailored to me and the music I like. The lessons are also really educational and I really enjoy the way I am taught theory behind music and the way that he breaks songs down for me and shows me the structure of them and shows the scales and tunings that the band would use has really helped me increase my understanding of music. Albert is a really nice and patient teacher who I would definitely recommend to everybody interested in getting guitar lessons .
