Creative Writing mentor (scripts, short stories, novels), specialising in supporting Neurodiverse folk of all ages

Advert description
I am a working writer and experienced workshop facilitator who absolutely adores supporting anyone of any age to explore their creative writing potential. Whether it's for fun, to assist your studies or developing your creative skills, I enjoy creating bespoke sessions to suit your aims and help you find your creative voice!

I have worked as a scriptwriter for over ten years, working as the inhouse playwright for Sparkle and Dark Theatre Company and Half a String theatre company, writing plays that have toured the UK gaining 5 star reviews and multiple awards. I have worked as the resident screenwriter for Tate Creations, penning a number of short films, and I am now signed with prestigious literary agent A.M. Heath as I write my next novel.

I am particularly open to working with neurodiverse folk who are looking for tailored support. I am dyslexic and ADHD, and yet I have developed systems of working that have enabled me to gain a First in my BA Hons Degree and a Distinction on my Creative Writing Masters from the University of Manchester. I care a great deal about using my experiences to help others find their own writing process and gain confidence in their abilities.

I am also experienced in working with all ages. Another of my jobs (which I absolutely adore) is working as a Giggle Doctor play therapist, working with young people in hospitals. Therefore, I have a great deal of training in safeguarding, diversity and inclusion, data protection and an advanced DBS. I work with a number of young people experiencing trauma and mental health difficulties, so I aim to listen and be empathetic to everyone's situation.

I am also experienced working with adults, often leading writing and theatre workshops with teenagers right through to senior learners.

Whatever your background, age or ability, I look forward to supporting your adventure to find your creative voice!
